Kidz World furniture was started in March of 2009 by A. D. Blount, Linda Blount, Alison Nichols, Justin Nichols, and Dwight Griffin in a 120,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Calhoun City, Mississippi. After looking at the children's furniture market and what was available, we decided that better quality and assorted styles of fabric were needed. We decided that children's furnture need to be manufactured similar to adult furniture with hardwood frames, foam, and other components meeting higher standards.

Also needed were items in licensed fabrics such as Mossy Oak, National Football League, Collegiate Sports, Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, Spiderman, Ironman, Dinosaur Train, Barbie, Disney, Pinkalicious, and others.
